Honda ranks Number One for 2013 passenger car sales and receives Trusted Brand Awardfor two consecutive years,reinforcing its leadership as automobile brand of choice among Thai customers

Honda Automobile (Thailand) Co., Ltd. announcedits milestone as the 2013 market leader in passenger car market with the highest accumulated sales (January to December 2013) of 213,155 units, out of total passenger car sales of 657,950 units, achieving 32.4% market share and, up 24.5% compared to 2012’s total sales of 171,208 units. This has driven Honda to reach the Number One position in this segment for the first time. The overall Thai automobile market (including commercial vehicles and passenger cars) had total sales of 1,323,857 units, with Honda gaining 16.1% market share, making the company Number Two in the market for the first time.

Honda has also received the TAQA - Thailand Automotive Quality Award 2013 - Outstanding Brand Image for Trusted Brand for two consecutive years in 2012 and 2013, according to the findings from a survey conducted among Thai consumers. These achievements confirm Honda’s success as the automobile brand of choice that always enjoys the confidence and trust of Thai customers.

This enabled Honda to return to strength rapidly and achieve the number one position in the 2013 Thai passenger car market.
