Nissan launches iconic NISMO motorsports brand in Thailand, extending its customer appeal to performance and personalization segments

Nissan Motor (Thailand) Co., Ltd. today underlined its commitment to the Thai market and to Thai motorists' increasingly sophisticated needs with the official launch of the iconic NISMO brand in Thailand, the ultimate essence of Nissan's promise to deliver 'Innovation that Excites. The NISMO launch was highlighted by the unveiling of the Almera NISMO Performance Package and Aero Package at the 37th Bangkok International Motor Show.

Shoichi Miyatani , President and CEO of Nissan Motorsports International, or NISMO, said that this milestone showcases the ongoing expansion of the NISMO brand globally. "NISMO is Nissan's performance and personalization brand, the ultimate essence of Nissan's promise to deliver 'Innovation that Excites'.

Established in 1984 as the specialist motorsports arm of Nissan, NISMO has built its reputation in the world of motorsports by delivering excellent results in motor racing series around the world. NISMO won 9 titles worldwide last year, including Super GT GT500, GT300 in Japan and GT3 in Europe, Australia, and the United States. NISMO also landed double victories in GT500 and GT300 at Thailand's Chang International Circuit.
