Bangkok--23 Mar--Neo Target

Luxury British car Aston Martin is making history at the 37th Bangkok International Motor Show 2016 with the debut – for the first time in Asia Pacific – of none other than DB11, the latest in an illustrious bloodline, the first product launched under Aston Martin's 'Second Century' plan; and an authentic, dynamic sporting GT in the finest Aston Martin tradition.

"In addition to the ultimately luxurious DB11, we are very excited to be showcasing amongst other models – DB10 – which "starred" in the latest James Bond thriller "Spectre", said Mr Komkrit Nongsawat, General Manager, Heritage Motor Sales and Services (Thailand) Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of MGC-ASIA, who is the sole dealer of Aston Martin in Thailand. "The Aston Martin booth at this year's Bangkok International Motor Show is guaranteed to draw crowds of discerning sports car aficionados like no other with these two extraordinary models."

"DB11 is the most powerful, most efficient and most dynamically gifted DB model in Aston Martin's history making it the most significant new Aston Martin since the introduction of the DB9 in 2003, and I'm extremely thrilled for the DB fans in Thailand who will be the first to experience this milestone DB model, " added Mr. Komkrit.

Aston Martin DB11: The latest in an illustrious bloodline

DB11 is the absolute embodiment of what an Aston Martin should be combining both exceptional design with the latest technology throughout. A brand new bonded aluminium platform, clever aerodynamics, a new characterful twin-turbo V12 and class-leading infotainment systems are just a few aspects which make this the sports car that will proudly spearhead Aston Martin's second century plan.

Heralding a new design era for Aston Martin, DB11 is the latest landmark in a remarkable aesthetic journey; one that gave us icons such as the DB2/4, DB5 and, most recently, the DB10 developed specifically for James Bond. DB11 re-imagines the relationship between form and function with a series of fresh design signatures. Foremost amongst these are the front-hinging clamshell bonnet, distinctive LED headlights and accentuated lines of the iconic Aston Martin grille.

Like every Aston Martin, the heart of the DB11 is found beneath the bonnet, though unlike any Aston Martin before it, the DB11's heart is a 5.2-litre twin-turbocharged V12. Designed in-house this engine develops 608PS1 (600BHP1) and 700Nm1 of torque, making DB11 the most power production DB model ever. Naturally, it is the most dynamic and most accelerative too, with a top speed of 200mph and a 0-62mph time of just 3.9 sec.

To exploit the advantages of its new body structure and harness the immense performance of the new twin-turbo V12 engine, the DB11's chassis, suspension, steering and electronics have been re-imagined and key new technologies embraced. Multiple driver-selectable dynamic modes – GT, Sport and Sport Plus – progressively intensiify the response of the engine, 8-speed automatic ZF transmission together wih the new electric power steering and Torque Vectoring by braking while increasing the firmness of the adaptive damping for a greater sense of agility. The result is a driving experience that combines exemplary ride comfort and true sports car agility, for an extraordinary breadth of dynamic capability.

"At the same time Aston Martin Bangkok has continued with its expansion to ASEAN; and Aston Martin Lagonda (HQ) has entrusted MGC- Asia with the responsibility of expanding the Aston Martin market to Vietnam and Cambodia within 2016 with an initial investment of approximately USD 12-15 million.

The construction of a showroom and a full-scale service centre will further support this expansion as the Bangkok office will be used as base to push further business growth. The Aston Martin market is expected to grow at least 20% in 2016. We also plan to open a full-service Aston Martin showroom in Phuket this April to better serve customers in the area," added Mr. Komkrit.

The irresistible magnetism, ultimate luxury creations will be displayed at Aston Martin Booth, the 37th Bangkok International Motor show 2016, Challenger3, Impact Muang Thong Thani during on March 23rd until April 3rd,2016.
