MG Sales (Thailand) is not committed only to offering vehicles with excellent drivability, outstanding connectivity and reassuring safety features for confident driving on every road, but wishes to see all MG car owners enjoy the same levels of comfort, convenience and value previously found only in premium vehicles.

There are a few types of equipment in a car that offer more benefits than most people realise including improving the vehicle's aesthetics, increase car value and enhance driving comfort. One of those is the sunroof which has been developed to last longer and safer.

MG is the first car company to offer sunroofs in across all our model ranges – from the MG3, MG5, MG6 and MG GS. This help level up the driving experience to the full and suits the British styling thus contributing to MG's superiority over the competition.

Contemporary sunroofs are electrically controlled for convenience. While they may be given different names for slightly different designs such as moonroof for those made with glass, retaining the name sunroof for steel ones, or panoramic sunroof that take up the majority of roof surface. Still, they can collectively be called sunroofs.

Moreover, there are several benefits of sunroofs that some people might not realise such as:
1. Aesthetically pleasing

If you consider just the external appearance of a vehicle equipped with a sunroof, you should find that is more eye-catching and has improved aesthetic appeal and luxuriousness to it than the same vehicle without a sunroof. One can notice that a sunroof is usually an option reserved for the top models in each car brand in Thailand to better differentiate from lesser models and improve model identity. MG, however, offer sunroofs to improve the value of the vehicle.

2. Increase car value throughout its lifetime

A sunroof does not help increase new car value. In the past, the inclusion of factory-fitted air-conditioning, radio, cassette player and allow wheels were the desirable standard equipment in a used car. These days, however, the sunroof is one of the options that help improve the car's value alongside other equipment such smartphone connectivity, navigation system, airbags among other convenience equipment.

3. Ventilation and heat reduction.

Starting up a car that has been in the sun for some time is less of a hurdle when you have a sunroof to dispel the warm air inside. This is because the warm air can escape the cabin directly unlike when you blast the air-conditioner that recirculate the hot air inside. Since you no longer need to max the air-conditioner you don't have to put up with the noisy air-con blast. On the other hand, those of you who enjoy fresh natural air can let the sunroof open for extended period.

4. Enhanced feeling of airiness

Many drivers often feel claustrophobic when stuck in the traffic or driving in dark dull conditions for some time. A sunroof can help enhance the feeling of airiness in the cabin, letting in more natural light and brighten the interior. The result is that improved lighting help lessen eyesore and fatigue. Even when driving through desirably scenic landscapes, opening up the sunroof help enhance even further that pleasant experience of coming closer to nature for driver and passengers.

5. Render romantic mood

Imagine you drive your car with your significant other by your side and you open up the sunroof to fully capture the beauty of the night – just one touch of the button and you literally can turn a routine drive into a romantic trip.

For anyone in the market for a new car, do not forget to consider one with a sunroof – for its many benefits and incomparable enhanced driving comfort.
