Automechanika Shanghai is Asia's largest trade fair dedicated to automotive parts, accessories, equipment and services. This year, the fair is expected to welcome around 6,000 exhibitors from 42 countries and regions, and will house some of the latest advancements from both the global and domestic automotive industries. Held from 29 November - 2 December 2017 at the National Exhibition and Convention Centre in Shanghai, China, the fair will open its doors to around 130,000 visitors and key players from the automotive industry.

For this edition, a number of key sectors will be expanded in correspondence with their growth in the market. For example, the Parts & Components sector will occupy one extra hall, while the Accessories & Customising sector and Repair & Maintenance sector will see an even bigger participation from some of its leading companies. In total, exhibition space will climb to 330,000 sqm this year - a 7% increase from 2016.

What's more, the E-mobility and Infrastructure zone at Automechanika Shanghai 2017 will see a bigger participation this year, with exhibitors and research institutes gathering from around the world to discuss connected mobility and its crossover into various automotive sectors. The booming Electronics & Systems sector is also expected to be a big hit amongst visitors, thanks to the growing topic of connected mobility and autonomous driving across the industry.

For the first time, in a bid to represent the tightening relationship between the tyre and aftermarket service segments, the fair will welcome the brand new REIFEN Zone - a co-located zone dedicated entirely to products for tyres, wheels and rims, as well as for the repair, management, sales and storage of tyres. With the REIFEN Zone, the fair will find the most comprehensive range of products, innovations and news to cover the entire spectrum of the tyre sector.

In anticipation of the fair, Ms Fiona Chiew, Deputy General Manager of Messe Frankfurt (Shanghai) Co Ltd, says: "The growing market in China and the rest of Asia has created a healthy breeding ground for the automotive market to evolve. We have seen that the region plays an increasingly important role in automotive developments, which is reflected in our expanding show scale. We're excited to welcome industry peers to what we expect will be yet another highly successful fair."
