Mazda jumps back into the pickup truck battle with the 2018

The Thai pickup truck market is heating up with the Mazda brand launching its latest attack with a new pickup truck for the 2018 model year. Mazda has been highly successful Thailand's passenger car market, securing the No.3 position, as well as top position in the small car segment. While competitors have been exchanging blows with updated products, Mazda has been quietly developing its own weapon as well under the name of the BT-50 PRO THUNDER.

The sales target for the Mazda BT-50 PRO for 2018 is 7,000 units, an increase of 15 per cent over the previous year. Customers include those looking for a high-performance pickup with good fuel economy and roadholding thanks to the Super DE-S suspension. Benefits include good road vibration absorption, sharp handling (with front stabilizers) and excellent directional control.

This special-edition model is available in Freestyle Cab (FSC Hi-Racer) with 6-speed manual transmission and Double Cab (DBL Hi-Racer) with 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic transmissions. The 2.2-litre turbocharged diesel engine develops 150hp.
