SORKON launches Everyone Deserves the Best campaign, confirms leadership in local food market, overhauls production, improves packaging to achieve product excellence

To confirm its market leader position that has been maintained for more than 30 years, SORKON is strengthening its local food business by adding to its product lineup new products with the concept "Everyone Deserves the Best". Its new product - traditional white pork sausages with shiitake mushrooms - which has been put on sale at convenience stores since mid-April is warmly welcomed by customers and has been well presented for food product excellence at THAIFEX-World of Food Asia 2018 event, organised at Muang Thong Thani.

Mr Jaranpoj Rujirasopon, Acting Chief Executive for Marketing & Sales, S. Khonkaen Foods Public Company Limited (or SORKON), Thailand's major producer and supplier of processed meat products, revealed that SORKON's business plan for this year will focus on creation of growths for all segments, namely processed pork meat/local food products, processed seafood products, frozen/ready-to-eat food products and quick-service restaurants. Especially, he said, the company will now focus its efforts on strengthening S. Khonkaen brand of local food products, its top segment in terms of sales, which has great potential for generation of continuous growths through sales at conventional and modern-trade stores.

By placing the importance on local food products again, SORKON seeks to confirm the market leader position maintained for more than 30 years through winning of public recognition of product quality, which is achieved by ensuring responsiveness of the research and development team to consumer demands, efficient control of production costs and, hence, continuous sales growths for local food products.

"Recently, to enhance sales we introduced new products, such as frozen/ready-to-eat products or quick-service restaurants, to serve modern consumers. This year we will turn our focus to local food again, asserting our S. Khonkaen brand's three-decade supremacy in the local food market", added he.

The acting chief executive noted that the marketing approach adopted for this year for S Khonkaen local food products is based on the concept "Everyone Deserves the Best", with concentration of the company's energy on research and development to achieve excellence in all areas, including taste, flavour, texture, affordability, consumption convenience and packaging, as a way to express thanks to the consumers for their loyalty to S. Khonkaen brand over the past 30 years.

Based on the said concept, the company has created and launched a new product - traditional white pork sausages with shiitake mushrooms. It is made of 100% pork meat, blended with crushed ingredients to add chewing pleasures, with shiitake mushrooms to maximise the meat's good taste and flavour, and with traditional fish sauce to offer best gastronomic experience. The product, which has been available on shelves at convenience stores since mid-April, is greeted with great enthusiasm, and it is rated a top-selling product at 7-ELEVEN stores.

Given the said successful launch, SORKON is looking to create new products to assert its authority as a leader in the Thai local food market.
