Mr. Dhanin Chearavanont, Chairman of True Group (4th right) hosted a dinner to celebrate the securing of a credit facility totaling Baht 48,940 million from lead arrangers comprising Siam Commercial Bank represented by Dr. Vichit Suraphongchai, Chairman of the Executive Committee (3rd right) and Krung Thai Bank led by Mr. Apisak Tantivorawong, President (3rd left). Other banks providing financial support include Export-Import Bank of Thailand represented by Mr. Kanit Sukonthaman, President (1st right) and United Overseas Bank led by Mr. Chua Teng Hui, Deputy President & Deputy CEO (2nd left). The event was held at the Grand Hyatt Erawan.

True Group will accelerate investment in its wireless business “TrueMove H” after securing credit facilities totaling Baht 48,940 million from Thailand’s 4 leading banks. The financial support demonstrates the banks’ trust and confidence in the vision and strength of True Group’s strategy, as well as their recognition of the importance of the Thai telecommunications industry, especially how 3G and other new technologies will be able to deliver maximum benefits to Thailand and Thai people nationwide. Moreover, the credit facility will support True Group’s investment in 3G technology, strengthening the Group’s ability to provide efficient 3G* HSPA services nationwide. This is an important step in the development of Thailand entering the wireless broadband era, enabling consumers with quick access to news and information anywhere and anytime without limitations using 3G+ services on a wireless network with a top speed of 42 Mbps and Wi-Fi of up to 8 Mbps**.
