TRUE GROUP ENSURES ALL COMMUNICATION SERVICES FOR CUSTOMERS AND ANNOUNCES RELIEF MEASURES DURING THE FLOOD CRISIS

In order to minimize the impact of the flood crisis on its customers, True Group is expediting assistance to customers experiencing difficulties in many areas across Thailand. True Group is continuously monitoring its networks to ensure ongoing communication services for all customers. As a relief measure, True Group is extending the monthly bill payment period for all True Group subscribers including TrueMove, TrueMove H, Hutch, TrueOnline (fixed-line telephone and Ultra Hi-Speed Internet) as well as TrueVisions. In addition, True Group has set up Service Centers in flood affected areas offering assistance to the public with services such as free calls to all networks, free Internet and free 24-hour cable TV to monitor the news.

Mr. Suphachai Chearavanont, President & CEO, True Group said “True Group remains committed to its customers and is constantly monitoring its networks to ensure continuous communication services in all areas affected by flooding. Moreover, a dedicated team of technicians and staff is on standby to handle any problems and to make sure that services resume quickly. True Group has also announced relief measures to assist its TrueOnline, TrueMove, and TrueVisions customers during the flood crisis. As of today, subscribers in flood-affected areas can call and request for their services to be temporarily suspended. To minimize worry and assure customers that they can use communication services without disruption, True Group has extended the monthly bill payment period until November 30, 2011 for subscribers in areas affected by flooding. Moreover, they can request to pay the October monthly bill by installments. In the event a network or service is disrupted as a result of the flood, True Group will proportionately adjust the monthly bill taking into account the period of no service. For rented modems, routers and set top boxes that are damaged by the floods, True Group will repair or replace without cost. Customers can contact the True Group call centers 24 hours.”

Mr. Suphachai added further that True Group is helping both its customers and the public who are affected by the flood crisis by setting up Service Centers to offer immediate help with free calls to all networks, free Internet, free top up for TrueMove subscribers and validity extension to 60 days, and free 24 hour cable TV from TrueVisions so that people can monitor the news. These Service Centers are located in various flood-hit areas and evacuation centers such as Thammasat University Rangsit campus, Don Mueang, Government Complex at Chaengwattana, Rajamongkol Klong 6, Army Air Defense Operation Center in Wang Noi, Yanasangwararam Woramahawihan Temple, Institute of Physical Education Chonburi, Ministry of Energy at Energy Complex Building, Maha Chulalongkorn Ratchawithayalai, as well as the evacuation centers in Lopburi, Ayutthaya, Saraburi and Adisorn Camp. In addition, True Group is providing free Wi-Fi hotspots in evacuation centers at Thammasat University Rangsit Campus, Don Muang Airport, Rajamangala University of Technology Thanyaburi, and Suphachalasai Stadium (National Stadium), so evacuees can use wireless hi-speed Internet.

TrueMove has assisted over 700,000 flood-affected customers by providing them with top ups valued over Baht 18 million as well as extending validity for over 3 million subscribers while TrueVisions installed at over 10 Service Centers in flood-hit areas is valued at over THB 1 million.
