Photo Release: Thaicom kicks off SpaceBox STEP-1 Satellite for the space industry’s next generation

Mr.Paron Israsena, Chairman of the Board of Directors (fourth from left), Mr.Paiboon Panuwattanawong CEO (third from left), and the senior management of Thaicom Public Company Limited, a leading Asian satellite operator, host a ceremony to kick off SpaceBox STEP-1: Thailand's CubeSat for the Next Generation, an educational and research project to develop small satellites conducted under the company's "Connectivity for Sustainability" initiative. The project is a collaboration with King Mongkut's Institute of Technology Ladkrabang, King Mongkut's University of Technology Thonburi, Darunsikkhalai School for Innovative Learning, and researchers from SpaceBox Laboratory to inspire Thai youth with an interest in space and to drive innovation and progress in the Thai satellite and space industries. In its 25th year, Thaicom is dedicated to building a sustainable future by working toward the Thaicom Sustainability Goals of developing innovations and infrastructure for communications, improving education, reducing inequality, and improving quality of life in partnership with stakeholders from all sectors.
