Thaicom and TOT Renew Contract for Nationwide High-speed Internet Service

Thaicom Public Company Limited, a leading Asian satellite operator, announced today that it has signed a 3-year renewal contract with TOT Public Company Limited (TOT), a leading telecommunications service provider in Thailand, to support TOT's mission to provide high-speed Internet service on a nationwide scale, especially in remote areas without terrestrial telecommunications infrastructure.

Under the agreement, Thaicom will continue to provide its high-speed satellite Internet service for 3 years (2017 - 2020) to support TOT's mission to provide connectivity for the general public, as well as customers in both government and private sectors.

Thaicom's broadband satellite—THAICOM 4, also known as IPSTAR 1—helps TOT to retain its existing satellite broadband customers, increase service quality, and expand its business—thus maintaining its position as a leading telecommunications service provider in Thailand.
