D&M Music Studio   in cooperation with Bangkok Insurance Public Co., Ltd are pleased to present   " A Virtuoso Violin Recital" by Kin Fung Leung,the first prize winner of the 1992 Young Concert Artist Competition in New York and The second prize winner of the 1991 William Primrose International Viola Competition including the recipient of many other awards.   Mr. Leung received his Bachelor and Master Degrees of Music from the Manhattan School of Music where he studied with Albert Markov and Emanuel Vardi and later on a scholarship to study with Zvi Zeitlin at Eastman School of Music; he also studied at the Juilliard School as a full scholarship student with Dorothy DeLay and Karen Tuttle. Mr. Leung has performed extensively in Asian countries and Europe countries both in the solo recitals and concertos with orchestra as well as chamber music. He was the concertmaster of Taiwan Philharmonic Orchestra and Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra. In Hong Kong he performed regularly with Hong Kong Sinfornetta, TaipeiPhilharmonic Chamber Orchestra, Pan Asia Symphony Orchestra, Taipei Province Symphony Orchestra and National Symphony Orchestra of Taiwan and currently teaches at H.K Academy of Music. He has performed twice with Bangkok Symphony Orchestra. His evening programme includes works by: Leclair Sonata in D major for violin and piano, Beethoven Sonata No. 5 "Spring" for violin and piano ,C.Franck's Sonata in A Major , N. Milstein Paganiniana Variations for solo violin , Castelnuovo-Tedesco "FIGARO" transcription from the   opera " The Barber of Seville" by Rossiniand encores. Mr.Kin Fung Leung will be on piano accompaniment by Dr.Nopanand Chanorathaikul.

The concert will be held at the grand ballroom of Hilton International Hotel on Wednesday ,December 17th,2003   begins at 6.45 p.m. with Cocktail Reception priced   at 1,200 Baht each   followed by concert begins at 8.15 p.m. Tickets without cocktail reception   are priced   at 500.- baht and 250.- baht for students Another promotional concert especially for young people will be on Tuesday, December 16th, 2003 at 8.00 p.m. in the auditorium of Thai German CulturalFoundation or Goethe Institute.
