Stocks and Financial Services Press Releases Wednesday August 15, 2007 01:02

Market for Alternative Investment (mai) and Money & Wealth Magazine will co-host an August 28 seminar, Inspiring engineers to better run and grow their business, that aims to improve engineering businesses’ competitiveness by making them more   aware of business and funding opportunities.

The seminar’s goal is to inspire the next generation of engineering entrepreneurs by sharing experiences and success stories, said Mr. Chanitr Charnchainarong, mai president.

“Engineers are basically entrepreneurial,” said Mr. Chanitr. “About 75% of the 44 mai-listed firms are engineering-based. These businesses have demonstrated high, consistent growth, with combined 2006 revenues of THB 22,652 million (USD 666.24 million). The seminar will give attendees insights on how to grow their business successfully by using mai as their fundraising channel to enhance their capital base.”

Held August 28 from 13:30–17:00 hours at the Prof. Sangvian Indaravijaya Auditorium, SET Building, MRTA Queen Sirikit Center, the seminar will be in Thai.

Sessions include Dr. Birasak Varasundharosoth, Chairman of Software Industry Promotion Agency (SIPA), on “How to Manage Your Business Successfully” and a discussion panel made up of successful engineers-turn-entrepreneurs like Mr. Sombat Anantaramporn, President of Interlink Communication PCL (ILINK); Dr. Chanet Sangarayakul, Managing Director of Pylon PCL; Mr. Noppachai Veeraman, General Manager of Masterkool International Co., Ltd, which is soon to list on mai; and Dr. Kongkiat Opaswongkarn, CEO of Asia Plus Securities PCL.
