WD OPENS ITS FIRST CONCEPT SHOP IN THAILAND

WD (NYSE:WDC), the world’s leader in external storage solutions, recently opened its first Concept Shop at Pantip Plaza, the biggest IT mall in Bangkok, to showcase WD Branded Products as well as home entertainment solutions.

The formal opening ceremony of WD Concept Shop was held at 2pm on 25th September 2009. WD authorized distributors, channel partners as well as media friends attended the opening ceremony.

Commenting on the new WD Concept Shop, Ms Margaret Koh, WD Director of Sales, Asia South, said, “As we live in a digital age, storage and backup is becoming more and more important to the consumers. The shop will showcase all of our external storage and home entertainment solutions and will offer information that will educate the public about the importance of backing up your digital content, as well as better ways to experience that content.”

WD Concept Shop features the recently announced My Passport portable drives and My Book external drives with new WD SmartWare Software. “WD’s new storage appliances combine massive storage capacity, visual backup, and hardware encryption, so consumers can now actually see their digital life, safe in one place.” Margaret continued.

WD Concept Shop is located at Shop 306, 3/F., Pantip Plaza and opens daily from 10:30am to 8:00pm. Consumers can experience the full WD external storage solutions through live demonstrations, and all products displayed will be available for sale.
