Mr. Tan Passakornnatee, President and CEO of ICHITAN Group PCL. said, “We all know that ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) will be fully implemented in 2015. It is certain that, by that time, the business opportunity will be wider but it will come with more aggressive competition among the member states. Thai business operators must ensure that their domestic strength and preparation are ready. The support from CIMB Thai will strengthen our business as the credit facilities will be invested in the expansion of production capacity of the factory in phase 2. The expansion will increase the production capacity by 400 million bottles of ICHITAN’s green tea per year. When including the existing production capacity, we can produce 1 billion bottles per year in total. The expansion completion is estimated in the first quarter of 2014.”
