SEC Senior Assistant Secretary-General Prakid Punyashthiti said: "The proposed revision would require that issuers of any type of debt securities use the same standardized factsheet form which accommodates product type-specific disclosure, for example, plain debentures, structured notes, securitized bonds, sukuk and Basel III subordinated bonds. The new factsheet form contains more comprehensive details, organized by topic, including the issuer's type of business, a summary of financial position, a summary of operating results and a record of default on debt payments (if any)."
"The table-format concise form will make it easier for the investors to access complete material information of the debt offered and to make a convenient comparison with similar products across the board before making careful investment decisions." added Mr. Prakid.
