CIMB Thai Bank PCL (CIMB Thai) has obtained approval from Bank of Thailand for the appointment of Khun Kittiphun Anutarasoti as President/CEO of CIMB Thai. He will be taking over from Khun Subhak Siwaraksa who has expressed his wish to retire.

Khun Kittiphun brings with him a wealth of banking experience, having served in various key business positions in Thailand with three global banks and two of the largest Thai banks. Khun Kittiphun holds a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Chulalongkorn University, Thailand and an MBA from Saint Louis University, USA.

Tengku Dato' Sri Zafrul Aziz, Group Chief Executive, CIMB Group said, "Khun Kittiphun's appointment is both timely and strategic as CIMB re-positions its banking business in Thailand, one of our key markets in the region. His 24-year banking experience bodes well for CIMB Thai and I am confident that he will add great value to our franchise in Thailand and to the Group. The management team and I look forward to working closely with Khun Kittiphun in spearheading our plans for the Thai market as part of our T18 Strategy."
