Chartsiri Sophonpanich, President of Bangkok Bank and Chairman of Bangkok Bank (China), received the "2016 Shanghai Magnolia Silver Award" from the Director General of the Shanghai Municipal Foreign Affairs, Office Zhang Xiaosong, in recognition of the bank's outstanding contribution to Shanghai's economic and social development and international exchange. Established by the Shanghai Municipal Government in 1989, the Magnolia Silver Award is given annually to foreign nationals who have made outstanding contributions to the city's economic and social development and communication and exchange with foreign countries. Mr. Chartsiri Sophonpanich is one of 50 foreigners from 19 countries honored with this award in 2016.
