S&P Global Ratings--28 Sep--S&P Global Ratings
On Sept. 28, 2017, S&P Global Ratings affirmed its 'AA' long- and 'A-1+' short-term ratings on the State of South Australia. The outlook is positive.
OUTLOOK

Upside scenario The positive outlook reflects our view we could raise our long-term rating on the state within the next two years if South Australia delivers sustainable operating surpluses and a stable debt profile, while maintaining its current liquidity policy.

Downside scenario

We could revise the outlook to stable if South Australia's budgetary performance were to weaken compared with our forecasts in the lead up to the next state election. This could return the budget to deficit with growing debt levels.
