Bangkok Bank supported ETDA organize Thailand e-Commerce Week 2017 to help Thai businesses enter the online market by offering financial products for businesses in the digital age

Bangkok Bank supported the Electronic Transactions Development Agency (Public Organization) (ETDA), Ministry of Digital Economy and Society,organized 'Thailand e-Commerce Week 2017' under the theme 'Online! Shall we GO...grab the opportunity because e-commerce is not waiting for anyone' to create opportunities for entrepreneurs who want to successfully develop their e-commerce business.

Bangkok Bank Director and Executive Vice President Dr. Thaweelap Rittapirom said the bank has joined forces with ETDA to help entrepreneurs tap into the thriving e-commerce market in line with growing e-commerce transactions by consumers. E-commerce will help Thai businesses access global markets and create new online entrepreneurs which will help Thailand maintain its leading position in e-commerce in ASEAN.

Dr. Thaweelap said: "The bank will showcase products and services suitable for all sorts of businesses that are interested in entering the e-commerce market, including entrepreneurs who have just started their businesses (Starter), entrepreneurs under Customer-to-Customer (C2C) or Business-to-Customer (B2C) businesses to businesses who would like to expand overseas ('Go Inter'). Anyone can attend the event where they can gather information, learn from successful entrepreneurs and sign up for Bangkok Bank products and services appropriate for all consumer groups."

The bank will set aside a 'Talking Corner' for interested customers and successful e-commerce entrepreneurs to share experiences and business successes. The bank's experts will be available to provide advice and suggest products and services that will help e-commerce businesses be more efficient e.g. international funds transfers, receiving payments for goods and services via EDC, PromptPay QR Code and Merchant iPay. Businesses will be able to receive payments for goods and services via many channels including QR Code and credit and debit cards from all banks worldwide via e-commerce applications. The bank is also collaborating with SOOK, an e-marketplace that helps Thai SMEs buy and sell products and services online, conveniently and quickly.

"The e-commerce market is increasingly important and there is already a high trade volume as customers nowadays prefer to order goods from digital channels, so businesses must adapt to this trend. Bangkok Bank's wide range of digital financial services, including receiving funds, payments using credit and debit cards, and check transactions, are services that are secure and reliable and cover all needs while making business easier for entrepreneurs," Dr. Thaweelap said.

Entrepreneurs and the public can join 'Thailand e-Commerce Week 2017' which is being held under the theme 'Online! Shall We GO...grab the opportunity because e-commerce is not waiting for anyone' for free during November 24 – 26, 2017 at the Plenary Hall 1 – 3, Queen Sirikij National Convention Center. Bangkok Bank is giving away gifts to people who register for advisory services at the bank's booth.
