The issuance of Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand’s (EGAT) 15- and 20-year bonds for Institutional Investor in the amount of 10,000 million baht

Mr. Prapas Kong-Ied Director-General of the Public Debt Management Office (PDMO), announced that the Ministry of Finance (MOF) and Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT), rated AAA by TRIS Rating, have mandated Thanachart Bank Public Co., Ltd. and Kasikornbank Public Co., Ltd. as arrangers for the issuance of 15- and 20-year bonds in the amount of 10,000 million baht during June 2018. The bonds will be EGAT's first non-guaranteed bonds issuance for institutional investor without restricted number of investors. This marks a development in the SOE bond market that will support more investor participation.
