Central Group has sign an agreement of cooperation with leading Japanese department store Marui to give superior shopping experiences and added value through privileges exclusive to Central Group and Marui and their partners to members of The 1 Card, Central The 1 Credit Card and EPOS Card. This aims to satisfy all tourist lifestyles of Thais or foreigners in a borderless world of shopping.

Nidsinee Chirathivat, President of Central Department Store Co Ltd, noted that the agreement between Central Group and Marui was a key cooperation to give good shopping experiences with privileges to both Thai and foreign customers. Thai tourists are currently trending to more travel in overseas regions and to Japan in particular. This is the most popular market for Thai tourism abroad, as last year, Thai tourist arrivals in Japan rose by 9.5% to 987,100.

Meanwhile, Japanese tourists are coming to Thailand in increasing numbers every year. Last year 1.54 million Japanese tourists visited Thailand. This is an opportunity for Thailand to expand business to increase efficiency and services to better cover every lifestyle and consumer need.
