SET announces 63 listed firms, five CEOs nominated for SET Awards 2018

63 listed companies and five CEOs have been nominated for SET Awards 2018. The announcement and the award presentation, which is the fifteenth of its kind, will take place on November 27, 2018.

SET President Pakorn Peetathawatchai said that The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) and Money & Banking magazine have initiated and organized SET Awards for over a decade to recognize outstanding listed companies, securities companies, asset management companies, financial advisors and CEOs of companies listed on the Thai stock market. They have stood out in various areas and are role-models for other organizations in the Thai capital market.

"The SET Awards project is instrumental in not only boosting motivation but also enhancing quality and potential of capital market organizations for the betterment of their operation and performance toward sustainability. SET's ultimate goal is to support all industry groups to grow strongly and inclusively in line with our 'To Make the Capital Market 'Work' for Everyone' vision, becoming a key driving force to further develop the Thai economy and society," said Pakorn.

Santi Viriyarungsarit, Editor-in-Chief of Money & Banking magazine, SET Awards co-host and one of the distinguished judges said that the judging committee has always been focusing on the elevation of the judging standards and remaining attentive to each decision. This year, there were a number of newcomers nominated for various awards, reflecting advanced development of Thai listed companies in terms of quality and innovation to cope with the highly competitive and ever-changing landscape.

The SET Awards 2018 judging committee includes Chaiyawat Wibulswasdi, Maruey Phadoongsidhi, Seri Chintanaseri, Santi Viriyarungsarit, Yuth Vorachattarn, Patareeya Benjapolchai, Teeranun Srihong, Pakorn Peetathawatchai and Manpong Senanarong, with Amnouy Jiramahapoka as its secretary.

This year the SET Awards cover seven categories: 1) Best CEO Awards and the Young Rising Star CEO Award, 2) Best Company Performance Awards, 3) Best Investor Relations Awards, 4) Best Securities Company Awards, 5) Best Asset Management Company Award, 6) Best Innovative Company Awards, and 7) Best Deal of the Year Award.
