Mr. Banthoon Lamsam, KBank Chief Executive Officer, said His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej Borommanathbobitra worked tirelessly for the benefit of the Thai people throughout his reign of 70 years. With notable capability and vision, His Majesty successfully gained international recognition through his official trips, and this period of history is therefore worthy of being recorded in remembrance of His Majesty's great compassion for the Thai people.

On December 18, 2018, which will mark the 59th anniversary of His Majesty's first amiable stately liaison to the Republic of Vietnam, KBank, as an organization under his graciousness, will publish a book entitled, "The Amiable Stately Liaison of the Ninth Reign", as a tribute to His Majesty. The book compiles His Majesty's photos, royal activities, royal portraits, royal guidance, a movie featuring royal activities for which a link is provided in QR code format, as well as articles in honor of His Majesty which have been arranged and edited by the organizing team. A total of 15,999 copies of the book, comprising 590 pages, will be published; each chapter of the book features a video linked in QR code format about His Majesty's royal activities, divided into 41 two-minute episodes. The book will be distributed free to secondary schools and universities nationwide, as well as government agencies; it will not be available for public sale. Interested members of the public are invited to read the book via www.นวมินทรบรมนาถราชไมตรี.com, or download the e-book via the Ookbee application.

"The Amiable Stately Liaison of the Ninth Reign" gathers details of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej's state visits between 1959 and 1994, which displayed his ability in establishing cordial relations and understanding between Thailand and the international community as witnessed by the people, media and heads of state in the countries he visited. His Majesty's state visits resulted in greater understanding and acceptance of the monarchical institution under Thailand's democratic system, which is unique and reflects the country's civilization that has been passed down over many centuries. The visits also helped create exchanges of experience and knowledge, giving rise to numerous royal-initiated projects, aimed at improving the livelihoods of the people and establishing sustainable development guidelines for Thailand.

Mr. Banthoon added, "'The Amiable Stately Liaison of the Ninth Reign' project is aimed at showing our great respect and loyalty to the Royal House of Chakri in a similar fashion to our previous works, including two documentary book and docudrama projects: 'Thee Siamese Lord' to observe the 100th anniversary of King Chulalongkorn's passing in 2010, and 'Nine Troops War' in partnership with the Royal Thai Army to promote Thailand's social harmony, patriotism and reverence for the monarchy on the occasion of the 80th birth anniversary of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit in 2012, as well as other projects that KBank has carried out to celebrate auspicious occasions all along." Upon the ascension to the throne of His Majesty King Rama X of the Royal House of Chakri, His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn Bodindradebayavarangkun has pledged to carry on with his father's legacy and royal activities. KBank is committed to following the royal guiding light by showing our loyalty and gratitude to the monarch's dedication to Thais and readiness to manifest our glorious culture to the world.
