SCB wins Thailand Digital Excellence Awards 2020, underscoring distinctive digital corporate culture

Siam Commercial Bank (SCB) recently garnered yet another prestigious award by winning a Thailand Digital Excellence Awards 2020 award in the Thailand Digital Champion for Culture & Talent category from the Thailand Management Association (TMA). The honor reflects SCB?s outstanding performance in adopting a 'dare to fail? corporate culture and in using data analytics and innovation, driving its transformation into a Technology and Data-led Company.

Dr. Chalee Asavathiratham, Senior Vice President & Chief Data Officer of Siam Commercial Bank revealed that the the award is testimony to SCB?s success in embracing a corporate culture favorable to creating innovation, while allowing staff to experiment with new ideas despite risking failure. This honor reaffirms the view that SCB has taken the right path and will move forward instilling a digital culture in SCB?s DNA. Such efforts will bolster the development of financial solutions precisely answering customer requirements and benefiting society at large.

The Thailand Digital Excellence Award program is a collaborative effort between the Thailand Management Association (TMA) and the Digital Economy Promotion Agency (depa), held for the first time to honor and support firms excelling in digital management. It will serve to raise digital adoption and management standards in Thailand in a systematic manner. SCB won this award because of its outstanding people and digital specialist management. Moreover, SCB has established an SCB Academy aiming to upskill its people in every business unit and to hold special projects attracting new talent with outstanding capabilities.
