Course Objectives:
- Describe newborn behaviours which might cause a mother to think she has an insufficient milk supply.
- Understanding a newborn’s “Zones” (or states) on breastfeeding.
- Understanding a newborn’s “SOSs” (Signs of Over-Stimulation, or newborn stress responses) on breastfeeding.
- Explaining how normal crying patterns and Active/Light and Still/Deep sleep can enhance breastfeeding.
