Metrodata Electronics, Tbk, the leading information technology company in Indonesia, has deployed Blue Coat(R) ProxySG(R) appliances at its data center to accelerate Web content and applications, reduce Internet bandwidth consumption and manage employee online behavior, while protecting against Web-based threats such as malware, spyware and phishing attacks.
For over 33 years, METRODATA has been providing customers with strategic advice and technical IT services to leverage emerging trends and business opportunities. Its increasing reliance on the Internet for Web-based communications and online business transactions meant that METRODATA needed greater Web security and policy control for large numbers of employees utilizing the Internet throughout each day.
METRODATA selected Blue Coat ProxySG appliances to secure its data and optimize its network. In addition to optimizing its primary Internet gateway, Blue Coat appliances also enable METRODATA to enforce its Internet usage policy and manage the use of Internet applications based on policy or bandwidth consumption, including streaming media and peer-to-peer file sharing.
