NIST New Development for EY1 and EY2 Children commencing August 2009

Tuesday 31 March 2009 11:20
NIST is introducing a longer school day from 8:30 — 14:00 hours for Early Years 1 and 2. There will be no extra charge for this service, other than the cost of lunch for children. This decision was partially made following discussions with expat parents who have very busy schedules.

We also recognise that some parents have chosen NIST Early Years because the school day ended at 12.30. If you are a family that made this choice, then we would like to advise that you do not have to stay for the additional time. Not attending the afternoon session will not disadvantage your child in any way.

We would like to make it clear that the core curriculum activities will still take place in the morning sessions when children are fresh and ready to learn. This will also mean that those children that leave at 12.30 do not miss out on any ‘core’ curriculum delivery.

As this is a new venture for us we may have to make adjustments between now and the end of the year and during the next academic school year as well. A tentative programme has been developed by the Early Years Team. They are now working on a comprehensive one.

We look forward to this new development starting. For more information, please contact Ms Tracy Winkle the Admissions Manager at [email protected]
