‘Star Experience’ candidate wins ‘ultimate UEFA Champions League viewing experiences’ plus Bht. 1,000,000 for shopping

Winner embarks on a unique journey to Europe with a companion and two celebrities to watch four UCL semi-final and final matches

Siam Sport, TrueMove, TrueOnline, TrueVisions, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, and Heineken, the alliance behind the Star Experience campaign, recently declared Mr. Bandit Chaiwan winner of the Star Experience journey. The ‘once-in-a-lifetime’ trip will take him on a tour to Europe for three weeks, watch the UEFA Champions League (UCL) semi-finals and final match at reserved VIP seats, and receive a credit card with a spending limit of Bht. 1,000,000 for shopping.

Mr. Bandit Chaiwan and his chosen companion will also travel with Academy Fantasia’s Tachapol ‘Toon’ Chumduang and Ratchapol ‘Music’ Yaemsaeng, both voted in by their fans and supporters to go on the amazing journey. The team will fly with KLM Royal Dutch Airlines to Europe on Business Class fare and stay at luxury hotels throughout their trips. The first trip is from 17-30 April to view the four UCL semi-final matches; the second trip from 18-24 May takes them to Spain for the UCL final match at Santiago Bernab้u Stadium in Madrid.

The Star Experience winner will receive back stadium passes – exclusively obtained by Heineken – that permit holders to get closer to their favorite team and players; enjoy a ‘behind-the-scenes’ tour of the stadiums; view the players from the pitch side as they warm up; attend pre-match press conference and pre-match practice session and meet with the football team managers and players; as well as participate in an ‘one-on-one’ autograph session with their players.

The VIP group embarks on the Star Experience journey, departing Bangkok (17 April) for the city of Amsterdam, The Netherlands, the birth place of the Heineken brand. They then proceed to tour several European cities that are likely to include France, United Kingdom, Germany, Spain and Italy in the lead-up to the UEFA Champions League (UCL) semi-final and final matches.

The group is then scheduled to return to Thailand on 30 April to prepare for the second trip, departing Bangkok (19 May) for the final UCL match in Madrid, Spain, where they will attend a “red carpet” event at the Royal Palace of Madrid [Palacio Real de Madrid].

The UEFA Champions League is one of the world’s most prestigious and highly-watched global sporting events which has a cumulative audience of over 150 million TV viewers watching live coverage of the UCL in over 220 countries and territories during every match week. The UCL tournament is synonymous with Heineken – the former has become the pinnacle of European football and world’s largest sporting event while the latter is the world’s most valuable, international premium beer brand enjoyed in virtually every country on the planet.

  • The UEFA Champions League 2010 is now in its quarter-finals where eight teams will compete on 30-31 March and 6-7 April to determine the semi-final qualifiers. The eight teams are Lyon, Bayern Munich, Manchester United, Bordeaux, Arsenal, Barcelona, Inter Milan, and CSKA Moscow.
