The “Uncontaminated Breath” Project, a CSR activity of Motor Expo is entering its fourth year and continues to campaign for Thai youths to cherish honesty by inviting young persons from all over the country to submit their works in any of the 5 categories —essay writing, singing, calligraphy (fine handwriting), artistic drawing/painting, and honesty campaign activity — to compete for education funds totalling over 300,000 Baht, from today until October 31, 2010.

Mr. Kitti Samanthai, Director-General of the Bureau of Welfare Promotion and Protection of Children, Youth, the Disadvantaged, Persons with Disabilities and Older Persons and Chairman of the “Uncontaminated Breath” Project, said the Bureau would like to invite young persons at primary, secondary, vocational and tertiary levels to apply for participation in the “Uncontaminated Breath” Project Year 4. The contest is divided into 5 categories, namely essay writing, singing, calligraphy (fine handwriting), artistic drawing/painting, and honesty campaign activity under the topic “Love, unity and righteousness” to strengthen the value of honesty. Winners will receive education funds totalling over 300,000 Baht plus certificates. Application can be made from today until October 31, 2010.

Said Chamaiporn Paphatphong, Director of “Uncontaminated Breath” Project, “From the success of the Project in the past 3 years, we have made an overall appraisal in order to develop the continuity of the Project for maximum real benefit to youths. In the “Uncontaminated Breath” Project Year 4, it is evident from submittals for the contest last year that the majority have a better grasp of the crux of honesty, as reflected in their works under various categories that can convey meanings in such a way that are easier for most people to understand. Also as the Project had become more widely known in the education circle from primary to tertiary levels, last year students from the Student Union of the Faculty of Business Administration, Maejo University, Chiang Mai, passed on an idea about the enhancement of honesty value campaign activity, which helped play a role in persuading people in the community to participate in, as we had expected”.

Chamaiporn added that the project is being publicized through public relations means to invite young persons from all over the country to apply for the contest. In August a mobile unit would visit about 20 schools in Bangkok with more than 100 affiliated schools. It is expected that there will be about 3,500 youths partaking in the activity this year (the number was 2,227 in 2009).
