Mezzaluna Restaurant at the Tower Club at lebua Relaunches with the Mezzaluna Design Challenge

Mezzaluna Restaurant at Tower Club at lebua today announces the top ten finalists of the Mezzaluna Design Challenge, part of Mezzaluna’s transformation as the signature Italian restaurant launches a new experience in modern innovative cuisine. Mezzaluna will enter a new era as the restaurant transforms and delivers a brand new concept and super exclusive dining experience for its guests.

As part of Mezzaluna’s mission to promote the best of Thailand, the Mezzaluna Design Challenge was organized to give talented young and aspiring designers the chance to create the new uniform for the restaurant’s frontline staff. The selected top ten designers will have a chance to win a THB 100,000 cash prize to further their education as well as having their designs used by Bangkok’s luxury world class restaurant - Mezzaluna.

The Mezzaluna Design Challenge winning designer will be picked from a panel of top fashion industry experts, consisting of: Araya Indra (Art) — Fashion Expert, Sirichai Dahranont (Jom) - Theatre Boutique, Kullawit Laosuksri (Ford) - Editorial Director of Elle Thailand, Polpat Asavaprapha (Moo) - Asava, Khun Metta Tantisatchatham (Tum) — METTA.

“Mezzaluna is a Bangkok icon, and we are looking to take it to another level, and on this occasion we wanted to promote the best of Thailand’s design talent to be a part of our world class restaurant,” states Rattawadee Bualert, President of lebua Hotels & Resorts. “We’re proud to showcase the design talent of Thailand’s young aspiring designers, and to give them an opportunity to really challenge their design skills,” she added.

The restaurant will introduce a daily chef’s tasting menu, featuring modern innovative cuisine from world renowned twin master chefs Mathias and Thomas Suhring. The new culinary creations will be presented on tectonics plate ware. “The whole menu and flatware is designed to enhance the guest dining experience. “states Deepak Ohri, Chief Executive Officer of lebua Hotels & Resorts. “It’s truly a beautiful visual and culinary experience that we are looking forward to presenting to guests of Mezzaluna,” he adds.
