Philips receives 8 GOOD DESIGN 2010 Awards

Eindhoven, the Netherlands — Royal Philips Electronics of the Netherlands (NYSE: PHG, AEX: PHI) is proud to announce that it has received 8 prestigious “GOOD DESIGN 2010” awards. Among the winning designs is Philips’ Annual Report 2009, which is the industry’s first paperless annual report produced only on-line. It was designed as a rich experience website that informs and inspires stakeholders on Philips’ financial and environmental performance.

Philips Annual Report 2009 isthe world’s first paperless annual report. A rich experience website that informs and inspires stakeholders on Philips’ financial and environmental performance. Philips Consumer Product Website 2009 offers a new immersive way of experiencing a product online. Engaging images and videos as well as the zoom and 360 functionality allow the visitor to explore each product in great detail. The website is visited by 80 million visitors, and contains more than 23,000 products and uses 50 million words.

Philips Lighting Online Redesign 2010. The websiteis designed to inform and inspire lighting professionals and allow collaboration among them. It helps them to understand the impact individual lighting products have on how environments are experienced by people and how you can improve that experience by selecting the right light product.

Robust Collection Range of Kitchen Appliances consists of a hand blender, food processor, mixer, juicer and blender. It is designed for individuals who really enjoy cooking and appreciate having the perfect tools for their culinary demands. These product ranges received multiple awards among which are an iF design award 2010 and a Red Dot Design Award 2010.

Philips Fidelio Docking Speaker’s1architecture enhances sound performance. To ensure an excellent level of clarity, the sound design is based on true stereo architecture with isolated acoustic chambers. The Fidelio Docking Speaker received multiple awards among which are an iF design award 2011, iF design award China 2010, and a Red Dot Design Award 2010.

PageWriter Cardiographs2are a range of easy to use touch screen ECG readers supporting - even first time- clinical users in conducting diagnostic ECG tests. The products are compact, yet integrate a full keyboard, color LCD touch screen, full sized paper tray and printer.

Novalure LED Candle and Lustre lamps3are designed to replace incandescent candle and lustre lamps with similar or better beam performance. Target replacement wattage is less than 15W. The lamp design mimics the lamp outline of the incandescent candle and lustre lamp and helps the user to comfortably transit from traditional technology to advanced LED technology. They provide a bright sparkle and similar ambient light effect at a significantly lower power wattage.

CCS 900 Ultro discussion unit by Bosch (Designed by Philips Design Consulting for Bosch Security Systems) is a state-of-the-art discussion system which is both simple to install and extremely straightforward to use, offering both order and convenience in small and medium-scale meeting areas and conferences. It combines excellent acoustics, superior component design and intuitive use with eye-catching aesthetic quality that fits in any interior.
