Photo Release: Moet & Chandon toasts “Grand Vintage 2002” launch

Recently, Moet & Chandon today launched the "Grand Vintage 2002", the longest aged wine since 1930, while the Grand Vintage’s new identity was unveiled. Made from grapes harvested in the exceptional year with ideal climatic condition for wine making, the Grand Vintage 2002 was using Moet & Chandon’s years of experience and skills.

The extraordinary wine made its debut today with a very private invitation only function, attended by top-notched celebrities and wine enthusiasts at the St. Regis hotel Bangkok.

Mr. Arnaud Mirey, Brand Ambassador - Moet Hennessey Asia Pacific said, "Grand Vintage 2002 is a true celebration of Moet tremendous passion to create exclusive products for aficionados. Instead of following the tradition of 3 - 5 year aged, we aged it for seven years and the result has been extraordinary.”

Grand Vintage 2002 is made from grapes harvested in Champagne in 2002. This was the exceptional year of a relatively warm year with mild and sunny winters, a perfect condition for winemaking.

Grand Vintage 2002 has mature, toasty flavours, both sweet and dry. The first sip will reveal warm notes of grain and frangipane along with toasted almonds and malt, mocha and light tobacco. Following will be the aroma of ripe fruits and with velvety, fresh, and firm and precise finish.

To celebrate its uniqueness, Grand Vintage 2002 comes in stylish bottle with new label. Inspired by the CHALK plates in the cellars, the new label carries a fresh identity that gives the sense of luxury and rewarding enjoyment. The new identity was also unveiled today at this exclusive function.

Marking the debut of this extraordinary wine and its new identity, Moet & Chandon organised a very exclusive event where leading celebrities and distinguished guests were invited. Called “The Moet Grand Vintage Gourming Atelier", the event was a Moet & Chandon’s creation that combines the styling gourmet with pleasant tasting.

Combining highest level culinary skills with exceptional creativity, The St. Regis Bangkok’s Executive Chef Leonardo Concezzi presented to the guests a pairing of Grand Vintage 2002 with different culinary delights to bring out the unique quality and taste of the extraordinary vintage wine while sharing the spirit of Grand Vintage conviviality.
