Bangkok--15 Jun--ไมนด์ ทัช

One Click Media & Marketing (Thailand) Company Limited, the leading business management and shopping mall development consulting company forecasted that the shopping mall industry in Thailand will continue to enjoy a positive growth according to the expansion plan projected by major players such as CPN, Siam Piwat, Siam Retail Development and etc. Despite the growing trend, there is a shortage of development expert, management and leasing personnel in the shopping mall industry. To serve the rising demand, Veena Arunyakasem, the veteran in the shopping mall development and retail business, has founded “One Click” with aims to offer shopping mall development consultancy for the first time in Thailand.

Veena Arunyakasem, Founder and Managing Director of One Click Media & Marketing (Thailand) Company Limited revealed that with over 10 years of direct experience and proven record in retail management and shopping mall development in Thailand as well as the increasing numbers of shopping and community malls throughout the nation resulting in the lack of qualified personnel in the industry, I’ve decided to establish One Click Media & Marketing (Thailand) Company Limited to provide the consultancy service for retail business operators, investors, community mall developers as well as business management, strategic planning as well as brand and marketing management.

Veena said that the community mall (1,000 – 5,000 sq. m.) and medium size shopping mall (6,000 - 30,000 sq. m.) business still enjoy a positive growth from the changing lifestyle in the urban area. There are currently over 100 new community mall projects coming up and over 30% growth is forecasted at the end of this year which accounted for over 30 new community projects nationwide. Studies found that most community malls are not successful from various factors and problems such as limited product and service varieties, insufficient parking spaces, inconvenient entrance and exit ways, lack of consistent and serious marketing and promotion events, etc. With our experience, I believe that we would be able to give a fruitful advice to prospective community mall developers so as to avoid risk and become successful.

One Click Media & Marketing (Thailand) Company Limited has unofficially opened for business since September last year with a positive feedback from top executives from many organizations. The company will officially host its grand opening on June 20, 2012 as the first consultant company in Thailand and Asia to offer one-stop service focusing on shopping mall development from the ground up until the grand opening including primary discussion, initial project assessment, feasibility study, investment analysis and financial plan, leasing training as well as tenant recruitment services. Our service is based on simple and practical consulting via hand-on approach which will definitely distinguish us from others.

Veena added that the decisions to set up this consulting firm stemmed from her expertise and experiences in the field of marketing and management of various businesses such as media, consumer products, retailing and shopping mall development gained from over 25 years of works with DKSH (formerly known as Diethelm), Nestle, Pepsi Co., Act Media, Herbalife and Tesco Lotus. She was considered as the only shopping mall development professional who had remarkable experience developing and managing over 80 small and medium size shopping malls in 9 years. She had also accomplished the highest shopping mall income in Tesco Group and grew total company profit up to 40% during 2002 to 2010. Moreover, she initiated the launch of new community mall to penetrate the new emerging residential areas under the projects entitled “The Park”, “The Oasis” and “The Garden” as well as the first neighborhood mall project under “Plus Mall” brand which has been very successful and become a new shopping mall format in Bangkok. She was also well recognized for her communication skill as the invited speaker and business consultant.

“I recognized the lack of professionals in the industry that would help drive the growth of shopping mall business to serve the new generation lifestyle. That’s why I decided to share my experience and expertise with investors, developers as well as people working in the field who look for career advancement and skill improvement under my company vision to be the most trusted consulting firm in Thailand which offer professional, simple, practical consultancy and education in shopping mall, retailing and business management so as to always satisfy the customers as we help them grow their business and profit while minimize work issues and unnecessary cost”, said Veena.

In addition, we plan to organize a public seminar during July 26-27 on “How to Develop a Successful Shopping Mall and Make Money” at Thammasat Association. This will be the first ever shopping mall seminar to be held in Thailand with prominent speakers renowned in shopping mall development including Caroline Murphy from Mega Bangna and Vicha Harn-amornrungruang from Siam Paragon. The participants will learn from the speakers’ direct experience on how to develop the shopping mall from the start as well as tips and techniques to run it profitably and successfully. The seminar targets people who want to get in to shopping mall business, land developer, shopping mall leasing professional as well as shopping mall operators. The cost per head will be 19,600 baht for the 2-day seminar and 17,000 baht for early bird reservation.
