IMPACT Targets 200 Million Baht on Wedding Market

Wedding market is expected to grow by 10% at IMPACT over the first quarter next year. The venue provider says it has been experiencing a soar in small-size wedding, with a number of 50-400 guests, which represents 80% of the total booking for the wedding venue. With the promising trend, the company says it upgrades the banquet halls and launches complementary honeymoon trips to attract the market and to hit its revenue targets at 200 million baht.

Mrs. Acharawan Suparngkarat, Director of Sales of IMPACT Exhibition Management Co., Ltd. revealed that IMPACT expects to receive 10% growth on weddings, generating 200 million baht by the end of March 2013. During the period of January to August, it has hosted over 83 weddings. Outstanding numbers come from small-size weddings of 50-400 guests, taking over 80% while middle-size weddings of 401-700 guests and big-size weddings of 701-1,500 guests are 9% and 11% accordingly. Most of customers are in hi-end level in which 80% is Thai and 20% is foreigners from India and Korean.

Thai and Western Buffet are mostly preferred wedding themes by customers by 41%, Chinese Set, Cocktails, and others are selected at 24%, 24% and 11% respectively. Numbers of weddings hosted at IMPACT are correspondingly high due to finest facilities and services to accommodate guests from 50 to 3,500 guests at a time. IMPACT also has spent major invest on adding more function rooms resulting in total of 42 party rooms, 2 Ballrooms, and 7 restaurants that can be decorated elegantly upon customers’ preferred wedding styles such as European, Chinese, or traditional Thai.

For a bigger wedding party with a number of 1,000 guests and above, the couple will get a complementary of 3-day-2-night Honey Moon Trip to Singapore, fly with Jetstar airline and stay at a 5-star hotel. The promotion is valid for the booking until 230 September this year, while the wedding can be held within 2013.
