About the Speakers:

Dr Prem Shamdasani, Academic Director of the Asia-Pacific Executive (APEX) MBA Program; received his PhD from the University of Southern California, Los Angeles. His research and teaching interests include Brand Management, New Product Marketing, Retail Strategy, Relationship Marketing, and Cross-Cultural Consumer Behavior. He has taught internationally, and has received numerous commendations and awards for teaching excellence.

Aside from teaching he is very active in executive development and has worked with more than 60 companies globally such as Sony, Samsung, HSBC, Berli Jucker, Caterpillar, 3M, Johnson & Johnson, L’Oreal, McDonalds, Nokia, IBM, Microsoft, Siemens, Singapore Airlines, UNICEF, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Commonwealth Secretariat (UK). He has co-authored two books including one of the leading books on focus group research entitled, Focus Groups: Theory and Practice, for Sage Publications (USA).

Dr Prem Shamdasani is very passionate about the Asia-Pacific Executive MBA programme where he has served as an Academic Director for the last 9 years. He also holds the title of Associate Dean at The NUS Business School’s Executive Education office.

Andrew McBean is a Permanent Resident of Thailand and has been living here since 2003. He has also worked in Indonesia, Japan, South Africa and the UK. With over 27 years working experience, Andrew has held a number of senior management positions including; General Manager of Microsoft Thailand, General Manager of Microsoft Indonesia, Regional Manager of Microsoft Asia and Sales Management at both IBM and Symantec. He was also a Senior Vice President at Thailand’s number two mobile operator, DTAC, where he also held Managing Director positions of two of DTAC’s subsidiary companies. He writes a regular management article for Thailand’s leading business English-language newspaper.
