Photo Release: IKEA Smales Kids Bake and Sell Cupcakes for Charity

Recently, IKEAhosted15children at a Smales cupcake bake and sell event. As part of the IKEA cooking workshop, the children prepared, baked, and customized their own cupcakes,and put them up for sale to the public at the IKEA Bangna store.Money raisedfrom the cupcake sales and a “top-up” contribution from IKEA, was donated to the Human Development Foundation.

In a fun atmosphere, the children learned about cooking and baking in a hands-on style. And as they baked in teams they also learned about team work, sharing, cooperating, and leadership. Like previous baking events, the 180 cupcakes sold out fast and THB18,480 was raised.

IKEA’s Småles Club and programmes are run for children between the ages of 4-10. Children can sign up for activities, and news, by registeringas “Småland citizens” at Bug House on the ground floor of IKEA Bangna.
