TPARK Buys 180 rai in Bangkok Free Trade Zone A Strategic Move to Reinstate its Leadership

in Warehouses for Lease Business in Bangplee Area With an investment of 2 Billion Baht, development of a new Logistics Park “TPARK Bangplee 2” will start immediately on the purchased land and the first phase is targeted to be available in the beginning of 2014.

TPARK inks deal with Prospect Development Co., Ltd. to purchase 180 rai in Bangkok Free Trade Zone. The deal is a strategic move of TPARK to expand ready-for-use land bank in Bang-na Trad especially Bangplee area where industrial expansion is steadily increasing. The land purchase also reinstates TPARK’s leadership in acquiring strategic locations to serve the continuous growth of demand for warehouses and logistics services in Bangkok and its vicinity.

Mr. Patan Somburanasin, General Manager of TPARK or TICON Logistics Park Co.,Ltd., Thailand’s leading developer of logistics parks and ready-built warehouses and the first Logistics Park Company in Thailand which received BOI’s approval for full-scale logistics park development, discloses “TPARK realizes the high potential of Bangplee area which is close to Bangkok and situated in the vicinity of major roads with transportation linkages which facilitate efficient logistic management between Bangkok and other provinces in all regions. Unaffected by the severe flood in 2011, Bangplee area is strategically suitable for logistics, warehouses and distribution center of various industrial sectors such as Consumer Products, Modern Trade of both wholesale and retail business. TPARK therefore continues to expand its business in this area to serve the growing industrial expansion.

Lately TPARK decided to purchase 180 rai of land in Bangkok Free Trade Zone under the management of Prospect Development Co., Ltd. for further expansion of its Logistic Park and high quality Ready-Built Warehouse in Bangplee area. Development of the new project “TPARK Bangplee 2” will start immediately with an investment of approximately 2 billion baht. The project will cover a total space of 150,000 square meters of warehouses for lease when fully completed. The land already purchased by TPARK will be converted from Free Zone to General Zone and warehouses will be ready for rent starting from early 2014.

Located on Bangna — Trad Km. 23, Samutprakarn province, Bangkok Free Trade Zone is close to Industrial Ring Road with access to major roads connecting all regions of Thailand. The site is also surrounded by a number of major industrial estates such as Bangplee Industrial Estate, Bangpu Industrial Estate, and many others. With all these superior advantages “TPARK Bangplee 2” in Bangkok Free Trade Zone will be an ideal distribution center for various industries when completed.

“At present TPARK has a total land bank of over 600 rai in Bangplee area which includes both developed and under development projects, covering a total of over 500,000 sq.m of warehouses for lease. With the newly purchased land, TPARK becomes the developer of warehouses for lease with the biggest ready-for-use land bank in Bangplee area. Warehouses in TPARK Bangplee 2 will be available for lease starting from early 2014 and full completion of the project is expected by 2015.”, said Mr. Patan.
