SocialGiver is a new and unique platform that brings people and businesses together to give back to society. Designed as ‘A new giving experience,’ SocialGiver rewards people who fund social projects with amazing rewards from leading hotels, restaurants, and many more interesting activities. On the website, socialgiver.com, visitors will be able to find offers like: ‘Give 3,900 baht to support scholarships for orphaned children in the three southernmost provinces of Thailand and receive a one night free stay at Siam@Siam Hotel worth 7,200 baht.’

SocialGiver is the second flagship project by a young and ambitious social enterprise called MYSOCIALMOTION. Their first project which took place last year was titled IDEACUBES ‘Citywide Ideas Exhibition’. IDEACUBES brought together 100 leading artists to raise awareness for 100 simple ideas to make a positive impact; these ideas included ‘Share your umbrella when it rains’, ‘Forgive someone’, or ‘Don’t eat shark fin’. Each artist volunteered to create a 1mX1mX1m cube that promotes the artists’ favorite idea. The 100 unique IDEACUBES were exhibited in 20 locations throughout Bangkok.

This year, MYSOCIALMOTION is launching SocialGiver, a platform that makes fundraising more attractive, effective, and exciting. SocialGiver pairs up businesses that wish to give back to their communities with a social project. Businesses offers free vouchers for their service and get to do CSR with new customers. People give funds to support the social projects and are rewarded with vouchers offered by the businesses. Finally, social projects receive funds they need to better our society and environment, whilst providing accountability and transparency for their supporters. This creates a perfect win-win-win solution for all parties involved.

In preparation for Mother’s Day on 12th August 2013, SocialGiver today officially announced their first campaign, ‘Let the Giving Begin’, that aims to raise funds for 4 projects that are helping to improve the lives of children in Thailand. ‘It’s a unique gift for every mother - not only do you get to support less-privileged children on Mother’s Day, but you’re also able to give her an experience to enjoy as a family,’ said Arch Wongchindawest, founder of MYSOCIALMOTION.

The projects currently being supported for ‘Let the Giving Begin’ are: ‘Zy Movement Foundation’ that works to empower children with physical disabilities, ‘4DekDoi’ that gives hill-tribe children a chance to attend school, ‘DeeJai’ that provides education resources for classrooms in rural areas, and Education for Development Foundation’s ‘Under the same sky’ project that offers scholarships to children orphaned by the violence in the 3 southernmost provinces of Thailand.

Already, more than 30 businesses have joined to offer rewards for givers, including: Siam@Siam Hotel, Rayavadee, O-Spa, Burger Factory, Chocolate Ville, Wine I Love You, Nail Parfait, Horizon Village, Flight of the Gibbon, Yunomori Onsen, Vorona Resort, Flow House, Hotel Vista, Jam, Lub d, Ruen Nuad, Playhouse Theater, Sousaku, Alpaca Hill, and many more.
