TDB TO LAUNCH CHINA PRODUCTS SHOW 2013

High quality products from China are ready to present to Thai and ASEAN markets

5-7 September 2013, Impact Exhibition & Convention Center, Bangkok

Trade Development Bureau, Ministry of the Commerce of the People’s Republic of China (TDB) in partnership with government and private sectors will organize ‘China Products Show 2013’ in Thailand to develop ASEAN market through the springboard of Thailand which is the economic and financial center of Southeast Asia. Held between 5-7 September 2013, at Impact Exhibition & Convention Center, Bangkok, the trade show will provide business opportunity as well as a seminar titled “Chinese-Thai Cooperation for AEC Market”.

Mr. Zhu Zhongxing, TDB’s Vice Director-General, said, “Chinese-Thai trade has a long history in which both countries made great efforts. According to China Custom, in 2012, Thailand’s foreign trade volume was 477.11 billion USD, among which 229.52 billion was export and 247.59 billion import. In recent years, Chinese-Thai trade has been developing rapidly, trade volume going up year by year. China became Thailand’s biggest importer and the second import resource country as well as the second trade partner. Thailand is China’s fifteenth trade partner in the world and the third trade partner in ASEAN countries.”

As part of Chinese-Thai trade development program, TDB will organize the China Products Show 2013, between 5-7 September 2013, at Impact Exhibition & Convention Center, Bangkok. The exhibits include consumer electronics, household appliances, lighting products, furniture, household articles, etc. from renowned Chinese enterprises such as Wuhan Dongfeng Yangtse River Automobile Co., Ltd.; Zhongshan Pacific Lamps Co.Ltd.; Guangdong Changying Electrical Appliance Co., Ltd.; Shantou Haoye Pottery and Porcelain Co., Ltd.; Wuhan Daquan Energy Saving Board Co., Ltd ,Zhao Qing Kelong Trading Co.,ltd, etc.

China attaches increasingly great importance to foreign trade growth mode and optimization of import and export commodity structure. In the field of export, more attention is paid on innovation, design, quality and grade of products in order to promote the brand awareness of Chinese products in international market. It is hoped that Chinese enterprises can make use of the fair platform to show a good image of themselves and their products so that Thai enterprises and consumers will know more about Chinese brand and companies, which is a benefit to consumers as well as trade opportunity for wholesale and distribution industry.“Thailand is an important ASEAN member as well as the economic, financial, and transportation center of Southeast Asia. Since the official launch of Chinese-ASEAN Free Trade Area in 2010, Chinese-Thai bilateral trade has been increasingly on the rise. As one of the three ASEAN members with the highest economic growth rate in 2012, Thailand has a good development prospect and Thailand market has big potential and expansion space.” Mr. Zhu Zhongxing continued.

Mr. Qi Yilong, General Manager from Worldex Fiera Milano Exhibitions (Guangzhou) Co.,Ltd, the event organizer, said, “The objective of ‘China Products Show’ is to build a platform for Chinese entrepreneurs to explore emerging ASEAN market and also provide an opportunity for ASEAN traders to meet Chinese suppliers in return. This year event will be the fourth anniversary since its beginning from ‘Guangdong Products Show’ in 2010.”

China Products Show 2013 will be a platform for a business matching opportunity between Thai investor and Chinese entrepreneur. On Thursday 5th September 2013, from 14.00 to 16.30 hrs., at Hall 4, Impact Exhibition & Convention Center, the seminar titled ‘Chinese-Thai Cooperation for AEC Market’ will be organized and will be attended by keynote speakers from TDB, private sectors, and trade associations, providing useful knowledge for all investors.
