Asia-Pacific Trade Facilitation Forum to promote public-private collaboration for efficient and inclusive global supply chains

Asia-Pacific policymakers, government officials, trade facilitation service providers, international organizations and development agencies, as well as trade and development policy analysts and researchers, will meet in Beijing, China on 10 and 11 September to exchange information, experiences and practices for trade facilitation in Asia-Pacific, identify priority areas for regional cooperation and integration, and learn about new tools and services which can increase the efficiency of cross-border transactions and strengthen collaboration between public and private sectors.

Under the theme of ?towards more efficient and inclusive supply chains:public and private sector perspectives?, the Asia-Pacific Trade Facilitation Forum in this year includes a high level panel discussion and four thematic sessions on trade logistics, trade finance, paperless trade and single window, respectively. In parallel with the Forum, an Exhibition on Trade Facilitation will also be held to maximize information sharing on practices, case studies and findings of trade facilitation.

The Forum is organized by the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) and Asian Development Bank (ADB), in partnership with the Ministry of Commerce of China and the China International Electronic Commerce Center (CIECC). It is the fifth annual event subsequent to the annual Forums organized in Thailand, Malaysia, Republic of Korea and Sri Lanka since 2009.

Over 200 participants are expected to attend the Forum. Side events will be held back-to-back with the Forum during 9-13 September. More details are available at
