Dr Pichet recently received National Board Certification (as a Board Certified Bariatric Counselor) by AABC after successfully completing specialized Bariatric Science training programs
Speaking about his AABC certification, Dr Pichet said, “As well as being trained to provide the latest in bariatric-related consultation, I am also experienced in helping people who want to lose weight through lifestyle and diet changes.
“As in many other nations, Thailand’s obesity rate has risen significantly especially among children, and young adults which makes them more at risk to ailments and diseases in the future.
“Prevention is better than cure, and drawing on my sports medicine experience, an active lifestyleand a balanced diet is the time proven, best way to maintain a healthy weight and lifestyle.”
AABC certification confirms that physicians have passed requisite training courses and must continue specialized training to maintain their board certification status.
Dr.Pichethas also been recognized as an international member of the American Society of Bariatric Physicians (ASBP) and recently completed the Obesity Course at ASBP’s 63rd Annual Obesity &Associated Conditions Symposium in Phoenix, Arizona.
