HILTON PHUKET ARCADIA RESORT & SPA CELEBRATE THIRD ANNUAL HILTON WORLDWIDE GLOBAL WEEK OF SERVICE

In celebration of Hilton Worldwide’s third annual Global Week of Service, Oct.19 – 25, Hilton Phuket Arcadia Resort & Spa partneredwith Child Watch Phuket Association to visit Uncle Pitak Home, a children's home, on Oct. 22 where more than 35 volunteers from the hotel contributed donations and renovated the facilities for the children.

On Oct. 17, volunteers from the hotel organized a Hilton Market Day, an open air Thai-stylemarket in the hotel. Guests could sample and buy local products including food and drinks,clothing and Thai herbs. All of the proceeds from the market event were donated to theUncle Pitak Home.

On Oct. 22, the team visited Uncle Pitak Home to organize a day of fun and games as wellas renovate its facilities. The team was divided into two groups--one group restored theplayground, shower and sink area while the other group entertained the children with songs,games and storytelling. The team prepared a small cooking class for the children to learnhow to make cupcakes and waffles, which they also enjoyed eating afterward. The team atHilton Phuket Arcadia Resort & Spa is now scheduled to visit the facility every three monthsto support the activities with the children and other renovation projects throughout the year.

Hilton Phuket Arcadia Resort & Spa recently won the Thailand MICE Venues Vote Awards2014 for Corporate Social Responsibility which underscored its commitment to providingunderprivileged children in the community with essential life skills and opportunities to besurrounded by a positive environment.“The children were very excited about the visit and the teachers were touched by the greatteam effort and hard work exemplified by the hotel team. We are very appreciative of thetime the hotel has invested to assist us with the renovation and to spend time with thechildren, and we look forward to working together again in the next few months on otherupcoming projects,” said KwantaYalong, manager, Uncle Pitak Home.
