Starting 1 April 2015, guests can leisurely relax overlooking the majestic Chao Phaya River and enjoy new afternoon tea with a splendid Golden Birdcage Afternoon Tea at Shangri-La Hotel, Bangkok’s Lobby Lounge.

Lobby Lounge’s Golden Birdcage Afternoon Tea is crafted with delicacy and passion by its very own Executive Pastry Chef Reinolf Moessl, winner of Thailand’s Dilmah Real High Tea Challenge 2014. The afternoon tea set consists of premium savoury bites, such as Alaskan King Crab, Charcoal and Poppy Seed Baguette and Crisp Pancetta; Foie Gras Torchon, Pheasant Rillette, Port Wine Jelly and Caramelised Apple; and Prawn and Citrus Salad, Mango and Passion Fruit Espuma.

The luxurious afternoon tea set is priced at Bt1,588++ per set (for a maximum of two persons) and includes a choice of coffee/tea and the hotel’s award-winning Blue Paradise mocktail from Thailand’s Dilmah Real High Tea Challenge 2014. The Golden Birdcage Afternoon Tea is available daily from 2 to 6 p.m.
