As a first step, the ONYX Hospitality Group Foundation today donated THB 100,000 towards the appeal. Following on from this, all properties across ONYX’s portfolio - including those located in Thailand, Hong Kong, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh, under all brands, Amari, OZO and Shama - will raise funds, through a variety of initiatives.. From today until 30 June 2015, ONYX will use the group’s social media platforms to promote direct online donations on the UNICEF website. In addition, each ONYX property will encourage further engagement with its customers through on-property communications and activities.
Commenting on the partnership, Mr. Douglas Martell, Executive Vice President Chief Operation Officer said,
“The welfare of children has long been a very important focus of our Corporate Social Responsbility activities. We are happy to be able to contribute and lend a hand in UNICEF’s efforts to provide a safer and healthier environment to the children of Nepal and those that have been affected by the recent earthquake.”
