Award-winning chef and restaurateur takes on new role at Phuket's leading resort and restaurant

Phuket: Boathouse by Montara Hospitality Group is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Max Chin as the General Manager for Boathouse by Montara Hospitality Group.

Max joins the Montara family-owned hotel group from Mövenpick, Chiang Mai where he was Culinary Director for Mövenpick, Thailand for 3 years. During this period he also provided F&B support during the pre-opening phases of Mövenpick Hotels in China, Singapore and Philippines.

Prior to his time with Mövenpick and for 6 years, Max was both Owner and Managing Chef of an award-winning restaurant in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

"My passion for F&B has been a great motivation in my pursuit of being a chef and restaurant owner.

I am excited to bring my previous entrepreneurial restaurant experience to my new position at Boathouse, which is particularly well known for providing guests with exceptional dining experiences," said Max Chin, the newly-appointed General Manager of Boathouse. "My goal is to enhance our business module to be consistently progressive in order to remain in the forefront of today's highly competitive hospitality and F&B industry."

With over 27 years of hospitality experience as both Executive Chef and F&B Director in various Asian countries including; Vietnam, Malaysia, Singapore, China and Thailand, Max is well positioned to take Boathouse to greater heights. His passion for excellence in both product and service along with his commitment to the development of his team are his strongest assets.
