Decolgen Co., Ltd., led by Mr. Rhett V. Hemedes, OTC Marketing Director, and Mr. Jaroen Wongariyakavee, OTC Sales Director, joined force with Zico Foundation and Khon Kaen FC to launch 'Tri-Power to Make it Real' football camp program to provide coaching in athletics, health and fitness to young football talents in Khon Kaen.

Zico Kiatisuk Senamuang, Thai football team manager and founder of Zico Foundation, said that "Decolgen Company and Zico Foundation share the passion of supporting young inspiring football players to reach their full potential to be the best. This football camp program recruits 100 young football talents aged 13 – 17 years living in rural remote areas to participate in skill-building activities focusing Tri-Power, or three areas of power, as follows:

1. Power of skill building:

• Dribbling and controlling – keep the ball moving forward, backward and sideways using the feet is an essential skill for all players

• Passing the ball – an important skill for a team sport, a basic requirement for all plyers including the goal keeper in keeping possession of the ball, clearing the ball out of the "Danger Zone or finding holes in the opposing team's defense

• Heading the ball – by hitting the ball with the whole forehead to change the direction of the ball, pass it to teammates or hit the goal

• Hitting the goal – passing the ball with extra force to make the ball bounce or spring in achieving a goal

2. Power of physical training

Football players require regular training to build physical capabilities comprising muscular strength and flexibility, endurance and speed of movement. Participants are recommended to have daily physical training for muscle strength and flexibility, comprising: 30-minute jogging, 15-minute stand up stretching, push-ups for 3-5 sets of 30 reps, and sit-up for 3-5 sets of 30 reps.

3. Power of good health

Football players need to stay healthy and strong for practices and games in all adverse weather conditions. Self-discipline in keeping healthy habits is vital and helps reduce the risk of catching cold or flu. Having enough sleep and rest is a must. Keep in mind that there's no reason to celebrate if we are yet to win a game.

With Tri-Power, young football talents will be well-equipped to take a big jump towards their dream of being a professional footballer.
