Conrad Bangkok is delighted to partner with the U.S. Embassy to bring you spectacular 3D Chalk art created by Ms. Tracy Lee Stum. Ms. Stum specializes in interactive art and her mission is promoting art in public spaces around the world. For Conrad Bangkok, she took 6.5 hours and created the chalk-drawn "Elephant Gift", which can be viewed at the Business Center on the 2nd floor.

Miss Stum explained why she chose the elephant art piece: "The elephant is symbol of Thailand, and I want to give a gift back to Thai people for receiving such a warm welcome to their country". Guests are welcome to take a photo with the elephant gift anytime until (specific date) October. Profile

Tracy Lee Stum is an internationally recognized American chalk artist and street painter who specializes in spectacular, interactive 3d chalk art street paintings. 'A visionary and master in the chalk art world,' Tracy's mind-blowing 3D images continue to 'wow', inspire and amaze viewers around the globe!

Born in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, Tracy began drawing as soon as she could hold a crayon in her hand. She studied privately as a child and completed a 4 year Bachelor's degree program in painting and drawing at Tyler School of Art / Temple University in Philadelphia. She continued her studies in naturalism at the Florence Academy of Art in Italy.

A former muralist & art director, Tracy began street painting in 1998 and is considered by Madonnari peers, festival directors and viewers among the finest street painters today. Tracy has participated as an invited featured artist in many festivals and events throughout the US and internationally, where her paintings have won numerous awards & accolades. In 2006 Tracy was presented with the Guinness World Record for the 'largest chalk painting by an individual'. In 2013 she was honored to be a contributor on the Cannes Gold Lion award winning team for their work in the now iconic Honda CRV commercial - 'The Impossible Made Possible'. In 2014 Tracy was awarded the prestigious 'MahaNayak' Award for 'Best artist' at the Kolkata Durga Puja Festival, India.

'For me, street painting is absolutely the most joyful form of creative expression I have engaged in', and with this philosophy held close to her heart, Tracy continually creates commissioned works in chalk for leaders in the advertising, events, corporate and educational sectors worldwide. A two time TEDX presenter, Tracy was the official artist for the US House at the 2010 Winter Olympics, and this year has been selected to street paint at the 49th Super Bowl in Phoenix, Arizona.

'Traveling and making art are my two passions - what a blessing to experience the two together! Sharing my work with a wide public audience has been remarkable. The inspiration this brings to others, and to myself, is demonstrated time and again with each new creation.'

For her Thailand tour in September 2015, U.S. Embassy Bangkok has invited Tracy Lee Stum and her assistant artist Sharyn Chan Namnath to engage in a series of hands-on 3D chalk painting workshops and to present public 3D street paintings in Bangkok, Chiang Mai and Khon Kaen.
