Tuesday 02 August 2016 12:06
Oriental Residence Bangkok welcomes French Chef Gerard Salle to Cafe Claire, where the chef will prepare a five-course set menu for an exclusive Gala Dinner on Wednesday, 10 August 2016. Well-known for his work in various prominent Parisian establishments, such as Ledoyen, Fouquet's, La Maree and Hotel Plaza Athenee, Chef Salle specialises in preserving and advancing the tradition of French cuisine. During his visit, Chef Salle will also be sharing his expertise and experience with the culinary team at Oriental Residence Bangkok.

The five-course set menu will be prepared in a French bistro style, blending in with the characteristics of Cafe Claire, which has a strong reputation in Bangkok for offering a discerning menu of Western and French-inspired dishes within a boutique-style atmosphere and inviting decor. The dishes include Soupe Bouillabaisse (Bouillabaisse Soup), Volaille a l'Orange (Roasted Duck served with Orange Sauce), Escargots (Snails), Bœuf Bourguignon (Beef Bourguignon) and Mousse au Chocolat (Chocolate Mousse) which will incorporate ingredients that are already present in Cafe Claire's existing menu but will be prepared in Chef Salle's own unique style. The dishes from this set will also become signature dishes on Cafe Claire's new all-day dining menu.

Sukamal Mondal, General Manager of Oriental Residence Bangkok, stated: "We are very excited to be collaborating with Chef Gerard Salle for this exclusive event at Cafe Claire. As he is very popular for his creations in French cuisine, we feel that his knowledge and experience will fit snugly with Cafe Claire's concepts and will definitely enhance the essential skills of our culinary team."

This fine dining experience will be hosted in the elegant ambience of Cafe Claire at Oriental Residence Bangkok on Wednesday, 10 August 2016 from 19:00 to 22:00 at THB 2,499++ per person.
