DHL, the world's leading logistics company, has launched its first-ever DHL Women's Network in Thailand, to encourage and empower women to succeed in the workplace and to reach top management positions.

Following the program's successful launch in countries including Singapore, Hong Kong, South Korea, India, the Philippines, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Japan, DHL partnered with Top Women Executives Club in Thailand to ensure this program's success. The inspire women in Thailand with outstanding role models, DHL Thailand invited several leading Thai women to speak at the inaugural event, including Ms. Petcharat Eksangkul, Managing Director of Eason Paint PCL; Ms. Jamnan Siritan, Chairman and Board of Director of JSL Global Media Co., Ltd.; and Dr. Lackana Leelayouthayotin, Director of Cerebos Thailand Ltd.

Touching on the DHL Women's Network, which serves to inspire women to enhance their leadership potential, Chananyarak Phetcharat, Managing Director, DHL Express Thailand, explained, "Because of the demographic shift and the rising number of women in the workforce in Thailand, diversity is a strategic objective to sustain our business growth. In fact, diversity remains as a fundamental cornerstone of our entire business as it benefits all aspects of what we do, for men and women alike, in all areas of our daily work."

DHL's gender management, a mandate within Deutsche Post DHL Group, leverages the diversity of its people to deliver innovative products and services that make customers successful.

While companies in the top 25% for gender diversity are 15% more likely to see financial returns above their respective national industry medians, additional research has also shown that a woman's aspiration and confidence in her ability to reach top management drops when she is with a given company for more than two years.

"We want to inspire women to achieve the highest levels of success in their careers and learn from those who have come before them," said Ms. Kaisri Nuengsigkapian, founder of the Top Women Executive Club in Thailand. "We want to show women who are thinking of entering the top ranks of management that it is possible to achieve their career goals as well as personal satisfaction in their own lives."

"At DHL our female employees' career ambitions are just as high as their very talented male peers. Increasingly women are aspiring to reach top-management positions at DHL and elsewhere. They want to advance in their organizations and have the requisite mix of tools to achieve their ambitions," concluded Chananyarak Phetcharat.
